Suggested screws to use on heavy duty stainless steel post VERY HEAVY DUTY Stainless Steel Steel Post - Square 50.8mm - 1300mm - POST with Base Plate - Welded - SS316 POLISH (INCLUDES TOP CAP & DOMICAL COVER) - 2mm Wall Thickness

All of the fittings for the fence panels and hinges etc seem to expect countersunk screws to be used. However, I keep having problems using countersunk screws on these posts. The xxxx gets tight then loose again just when you think it’s all the way in. I’m assuming this is because there’s no thread right at the end near the xxxx head. I might be doing something wrong, but it’s hard to imagine what.
To save me from going insane, can you please recommended a suitable xxxx for these posts. Preferably one that someone can actually verify works rather than “it should work”.

If the thread does not run the entire length of the xxxx as you have alluded to, this would be the issue of being loose. You should source suitable counter sunk screws with the thread running the length of the xxxx .

A speciality fastening shop will be able to give you advice in regard to suitable screws to purchase.
